Well, never mind that. But you’re missing something! Yes, I see you have your sword, your shield, your bow and books of magic. 10-foot pole and mirror as well, hmm? You might actually survive. But still! Something you lack. Step into my tent. I’ll show you.

Yes, a cloak. Don’t tell me you disregard them. Try on this one for size. It’s not the finest, but it will keep the worst of the wind off your shoulder, the rain off your back, the sun off your face. Very useful for long treks through the wilderness. Feel, how thick it is, enough for protection in a pinch if you’ve no other armor.

Adventurer’s Cloak, 1 Item Slot. +1 Armor when wearing no armor/shields. Useful against exposure and for combat tricks.

…No? Ah, I misjudged you, forgive me. What you need is a cloak for more… clandestine affairs. One that would ‘pair well with a dagger’, eh? Then come, into the shadows, away from the sun. This one. She who sold it to me said this cloak was woven from the night itself, and would vanish in an instant if the sun so much as kissed it with a single ray. Is it true? Haha, I can’t say, but I wouldn’t be a good merchant if I took unnecessary risks.

Cloak of Silent Night, 1 Item Slot. Pull up the hood at night to decrease the chance of being seen. While the hood is up, wearer is blind and deaf.

Now how about- oh that tangled old thing? You don’t want that. Ahhh, you’re even a fine judge of quality. Yes, it is well-made. But like all the cloaks here, it has a story. This one is said to be possessed by fickle fey spirits. Those who wear it find themselves making excellent first impressions, and may find great social success. But eventually, at their moment of greatest triumph, the cloak will inevitably betray them. Tripping them up as they bow before a queen, or blowing in their face as they prepare to deliver a final blow. 

Tangled Cloak, 1 Item Slot. All reaction rolls are at +1. Whenever a natural 20 is rolled while wearing this cloak, the wearer fumbles in an embarassing (but not directly harm-inducing) way.
